Rome’s Visual Arts Research & Documentation Centre (CRDAV) hosts - among a wealth of monographs on contemporary art, and a real treasure of grey literature on contemporary artists - a precious fund donated by the heirs of Italian artist Enrico Prampolini. It represents his own private manuscripts’ archive and is a source for shading light on international contacts among artists before WWI and until WWII.
The document, just posted by me to Slideshare in its original Italian draft version (an English version will follow, soon), describes some issues, standards, and technical options for digitizing this fund, in order to enhance proper preventive conservation measures, and to more easily promoting it to a much wider section of visitors - virtually or physically so.
