On Museum Artefacts Repatriation
An interesting article article on today’s New York Times: “Turkish officials are demanding ancient artifacts from Western museums, and aren’t timid about doing so. The museums say their mission to display global art treasures is under siege.”
Artefacts repatriation is a worthy museum trend. However, not keeping into correct account the historical context of centuries-old shifting borders is a possible answer to the question: How do theoretically correct issues become a mouse trap?
