Earthquake in Italy - Again Today, Twice
Conditions in the Emilia region, already hit by a strong earthquake on last 20 May, get worse. Other two strong earthquakes this morning and in the earliest afternoon stroke the same region, hitting in particular around the city of Modena.
Other victims may be added later today or tomorrow to the 15 already counted. Many wounded, over 8.000 people displaced. Damages to cultural heritage artefacts and buildings are still largely undefined, but could be rated as medium to high.
The rescue machinery seems to be a bit slow in acting, but the persistent risk of new collapsing buildings calls for a cautious action.
