Migrations…

The issue of technological obsolescence in digital artefacts is one of the most relevant in planning for digital memory management and conservation.

One possible approach one should consider in this regard is planning for migration of digital iconic language to digital (but perhaps not only…) “verbal” language.

Rethinking descriptions of digital events and artworks could then be a way out from the haunting race to let systems migrate from one to the next version.
